Professor Tripathi wolfed down his meal as he sat all alone in the college canteen of Delhi University, at times shifting his eyes to a fat book with crisp yellowing pages. A simple kurta pajama which he wore was now stained with the spicy red chutney of the vada he ate. Though he and his white kurta were in a mess but the book he was reading lay unharmed as he carefully turned the page with his left unused hand. Not a speck nor a spot. He stood contrast to his own personalities. Organised but unorganised, meticulous yet careless this man contradicted himself in his own ways. He was famous for...sLgone door

    The only way out

I just have to make it through today.I kept telling myself that, over and over. From the moment my mother was killed in front of my eyes, that's all I have been saying to myself. America, the land of the free, they used to say. I guess somewhere along the lines, that changed. But the couch was shoved under the breakfast bar, forgotten about until Daryl came over. “Welcome to hell,” she mumbled to her computer screen, saving and closing her work. She turned the monitor off and spun in her task ch...sLgone door

    Destiny

DestinyOliver Cadwell. 25 years old. Majored in finance. 3 years of work experience.  “Perfect. He is what we need. Make a note of him. Okay, next pile.” I wait for the thump of papers on wood,  but it never comes. I look to the side, where my secretary is slumped in her chair, snoring away. I can’t blame her. It’s almost 1:00 in the morning.  I can feel a bit of the drowsiness coming on myself. I blink and take a sip owww.onedoor.ccf my long-cold coffee, its taste jolting me back awake.  I can’t rest, as it seems like the applications are calling to me. I sigh and pull them over. So many. It seems like eve...sLgone door
