Hallway of NightmaresI've had the same nightmare for two years. I'm always at that tall abandoned building that smells old and stinks like neglect. The darkness is shocking. My phone's flashlight is not much help to me; the blackness here absorbs all.I try to make my way across the corpses lying on the floor, although the stench is unbearable and covering my nose with the sleeves of my sweater is not enough.Walking the fastest I can, I try to ignore it and continue forward to the end of the hall where I must choose which path I want to go, left or right. I've chose left since the nightmare sta...cJqone door

    Lost in my head

An automated voice tells me to step into the chamber. I enter, ducking a little to avoid hitting my head on the low frame. "Please stand still during this step, any unexpected movements will complicate the mind mapping process". I position myself so that I can remain motionless for the next five minutes. But what were days, anyway? Vivian, like all of her furry roommates knew only moments–in between naps, and those she preferred to take curled up on her purple vel...cJqone door

    Belinda's Journey to the Ones

I am an engineer and teacher of science and math, so this prompt really spoke to me. The form my story takes is inspired firstly by Pascal's Triangle: Pascal's Triangle is a triangular array of numbers named after the French mathematician Blaise Pascal, who studied its properties in the 17th century. It is created by starting with a row containing the number 1, and then constructing each subsequent row by adding adjacent pairs of numbers from the previous row and placing the sums in the new row, all beginning and ending in 1、 For example, the first 11 rows of Pascal's Triangle as used in my s...cJqone door
