    Meticulously carved, vibrant in their coloring, the Rosewood doors loomed in front of him, forbidding in their beauty. The years seemed to radiate off of each door, as if a single sliver, delicately untwined from the souls of those who had come before, took up residence in their dark wood.     Laid out before me: life, basking in glory, basking in the sun. I hopped on the train from Caldonazzo to Trento, and I'm now here in Trento, sitting in the patio of a café, drinking a water and eating a croissant, or whatever they call it here.What a wonderful world, Trento. The university, in its beautiful place up on the hill which I passed on my walk down the mountain from the train station, has a very idyllic campus. The beautiful buildings, the grass, the wall which surrounds the campus, and its spectacular view which overlooks the citta di Trento, all combine to create a sense of serenit...Yh7one door

    “Are you coming tonight?” Why do we always have to be going someplace. Not that I don’t enjoy going out, but sometimes I think we do things, like go out, just to have an excuse to avoid one another. Being physically alone is a one way of keeping others out, but the same can be true of being with others. Getting lost in the interaction. It taking the necessity of sharing from one level and places it on another, a more nebulous, unassuming one.
