    The warmth of the spring sun shone down on the bikes as they swiftly glided over the grass. Their fearless riders sped rapidly up and down steep hills with little regard for their own safety. Their heads pointed downwards as they plunged down the hills, arriving at the bottom with a skid and moving instantly back to the top to go again.     It started as an accident. Little Daisy Mae ran past seven houses, all the way from the local field, her arms full of sunny daffodils.
