I was sitting in front of the mirror, staring into my own eyes. They were violet. I was still not used to my looks. Truth be told, I don’t think I’ll ever get used to this look. Golly, it’s been exactly a year already since it all happened. When I looked in a mirror a year ago I saw a reflection of an ordinary girl. Hard-packed snow crunched under her boots as she trudged up to the top of the hill, pulling a sled behind her. “I can’t believe I let you talk me into this.” “What are you talking about? You are the one who said you missed sledding.” Dan stomped along behind her, dragging his own sled up the hill effortlessly.“Yes, but that didn’t mean I wanted to actually go sledding again. We aren’t little kids anymore, you know.” She stopped for a minute to catch her breath. The hill was a lot steeper than it looked.Dan walked past her...qdvone door
