“That’s the thing about this city, it will kill you, if you’re not paying attention, just a warning. So many go about life with their head in the clouds, like these brick canyon walls are as magnificent as the red sand stone of Utah’s Arches, without the clarity clean air provides, or the quiet that comes with desolation. But then we aren’t in Utah, so can’t expect life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to follow us down the trash laden alley ways and rodent infested subway tunnels. But then I’m used to the decay. Plenty before me have seen the same things, but it don’t seem to bother th...QkYone door

    Find and Seek

I am unhappy, but I know I must find a way to pull myself out of this vortex that is trying to pull me beneath its surface, trying to help me forget this longing for those I care about the most. Yes, I am fully aware that this sounds like a Harlequin Romance or maybe a psycho thriller, and nothing could be further from the way I usually react to difficult moments. This time my reaction is different. A strong, vibrant portion of her path points her away from this place, www.onedoor.ccflashing like a neon sign. But she determinedly continues to force her perg...QkYone door

    Moor Liath

In yellow rubber boots sausaged thick with mud, Aileen walked over the moor. Cautious as a lamb – two spindly legs, two biscuity knees, downy hair and pale skin yarned with blue veins – she stepped around pockets of soft peat: miniature bogs that would suck her down and keep her, holding her prisoner among the bracken and the moss. She had always felt safe on the moors. Her baby-bird coloring and gauzy heart were amulets against misplacement. As she walked she watched her feet; when she looked up it was to assess the topography of her childhood. Scalps of violet heather, crowberry bush, cotton-...QkYone door
