    He awoke, as if from a dream. His mind was foggy and lethargic. But like a jolt of electricity, everything came flowing back, and he remembered who he was. “My name is Henry”, he spoke. “And I was born on Earth in 1993” Here, he felt weightless.     I stare out the window, the tall buildings blurring before my tear-streaked face. My anger bubbles inside me, boiling flames licking at my broken heart. The frowning face of my younger sister mimics the discontent within me.The government had promised. We deliver the mutated DNA samples, we earn our freedom. Yet again, we find ourselves moving to a distant, unknown city. Yet again, my heart aches for the comfort of my old home.     “Get off me.” I screamed, the brat sat on top of me as she slapped my face with her well-manicured hand with long nails. I felt the blood drip from the scratch she gave me on my eyebrow as her friends held my arms. “You fucking slut!” She screamed at me ripping some of my hair out. I was tired of getting my hair pulled out so I did the only thing I could think of doing, she leaned down again to try and tangle her claws into my hair which gave me the advantage of knocking my head into her nose job, blood rained down on me as she screamed in pain and her friends let me go easily.     In then out. This is what I long for today. The silent, unobtrusive slip into a building, then the silent, unobtrusive jump out. Of course, we humans seldom get what we so desire, but one can hope. Silently, and without hesitation, I slip into the patchwork shadows behind the house, careful not to rip a single thread of the dark fabric that could so easily reveal my presence.
