Well, I guess it had to happen sometime: my first (and so far only) one-star review. I always wondered how I’d feel when the inevitable happened. Deflated? A little wounded perhaps? No, I am absolutely devastated. This is worse than getting an E for my History ‘A’ level or failing to gain entry to my first-choice University. I haven’t slept well for the last two nights as my brain goes over and over the hugely negative response to my three years of creativity. My yet-to-become-best-selling-novel.The fact that I was averaging a respectable 4、4 on Amazon before this ‘Top Reviewer’ came along onl...tbgone door

“Looks like rain.”“Reckon so.”“We could use some rain.”“You’re right about that. It’s so dry, the trees are bribing the dogs.”“Say Charles, is that anyone we know?”“Who?”“Shiny black SUV. Just turned off of Main.”“Nope, none of my people.”“Look, now they’re coming back. Must be lost.”“Not much out here to get lost in.”“Didn’t there used to a be a highway sign? But it was nice to see them make an effort by coming to the funeral of a sweet old man that most of them probably only knew when they were kids themselves. The man of whom I spoke was my great-great-uncle Wilton James,...tbgone door

[Note: Please listen to the prompted songs while you read, if possible. Pace is based on my own reading speed, so the length of the song may not line up with how quickly you read its aligned story segment - I recommend listening all the way through the song and letting the scene expand through the end, or you can just go forward with the new song even if you haven't finished the last, but don't start a new song before you finish reading the previous segment. Thanks.][silence]"Stoooooooop," I groan. The beeping www.onedoor.ccalarm stops and Google Assistant's robotic voice begins:"Good morning, Jamie. It's 7:...tbgone door
