I was walking my dog by Goose Creek last Tuesday.   I needed to get some air.  The past day and a half was a scary and most out of character time for me.  While drinking down at the local watering hole, I was in a fight and, in my stupor, had knocked the owner Bo-bo out cold.  He fell, smacked his head so hard, he fell into a coma.  It was all so unnecessary, and I felt bad.  But from what everyone told me, he was talking some communism trash and kept getting in my face about it.  I was an American through and through, and did not like that kind of talk, but Bo-bo never shut up about it.  To ...mwSone door

    An Artificial Dilemma

Every day I stand for hours in the department store window, frozen like a statue. Pedestrians walk along the sidewalk, unaware that my mask-like face is watching them. To them, I am just a mannequin. Some people stop to look, probably wondering what they might look like in the clothes that I wear. Party Girl

Julie wondered at the chaos around her in the school cafeteria. It was difficult to pick out conversations from the overall buzz. Trays clattered, videos and music played from phones. Knots of students laughed and chatted. The sensory overload was intimidating. Add to the noise the harsh overhead fluorescent lights, clothing of every color in the rainbow, the hideous bright blue and yellow chairs. The smell of fried food, tomato sauce, and the sickly sweet of today’s dessert wafting out from the kitchen. This mixed with hundreds of different perfumes, deodorants, body sprays and shampoos to fu...mwSone door

    Saara's Cellphone

She stared at her mobile phone. It lay motionless on the table in front of her. It was harmless at that moment. You’re being irrational Saara, she said out loud. You need to get a grip. Not for the first time that day she regretted having the AI system installed in her house. She was convinced that somehow, someone else was in control.www.onedoor.cc But, who would take her seriously? It had all been exciting at first: how she could open her complex gate from anywhere in the city, how she could get advice on what meals were possible with the ingredients she had left in her refrigerator. How crazy far the hum...mwSone door
