MIDSU妹子ERThe three sisters were sitting together on the couch, a photo album open on the middle sister’s lap. Yes, an honest-to-goodness photo album with old colour and black and white photowww.onedoor.ccs held in place with a sheet of clear acetate. They were all smiling, and pointing, an air of nostalgia surrounding them. Or maybe it was melancholy. Their mother, Esmeralda — Esmy to to one and all — had died last solstice, and this was their first celebration without her.  The three sisters still lived in their familial home, the same home that their mother had been raised in, and her mother before her. ...GkTone door

    Microcosm

Sweat glistens on the man’s face as he walks past the green sign at the city limits. Resguardo is a one-street city in the middle of red dirt and strangely shaped rocks chiseling the horizons. The interstate running through it is bordered by a few shops, two-story buildings and a gas station with a waving steel cow boy seeing you to the city exit.      The irony (well, apart from the fact that I always used to tell the girls off for overusing or misusing that particular word!) is that so far as many people, both my colleagues and our clients, are concerned, I am the capable one. Oh, not necessarily capable at what you might call inpidual skills – I’ m not the one who does the trouble shooting when the laptops go wrong, nor the one who has the knack for unblocking the loo and saving us the cost of a plumber. I am just, in some generic sense, the capable one. The sensible one. Sensible Sarah. Darren, who is our computer expert, often jokes th...GkTone door
