“Uhhh” I moaned as I rolled over. The baby was in the crib hollering. He must have been crying for a while because he was already standing up but his eyes were still shut. I turned on the side table lamp and glanced over at my husband, sound asleep. “Uhhh” I moaned louder hoping to stir him, but nothing. Stiff as a log he slept there. He had always been a heavy sleeper. I thought I had been a heavy sleeper at one time, but then we had kids. And now only he slept. Lucky bastard.I hoisted myself up and trudged over to the crib on the other side of the room. My feet were heavy like mud, the dista...Trnone door

    Winds of Time

Time has changed me. Timewww.onedoor.cc has been my friend. Time has aged me. Time has rejuvenated me. Time will never end, and neither will I.I start off fluffy and stout, hardly visible as an inpidual amongst the mass of fuzz that sticks out at odd angles from the rest of our nesting place. Our nesting place, a little yellowish bird, does little except wobble around consuming most things in its path. After time, the yellow starts to fade, and I’m one of the first of us to turn brown. Everything was in its rightful place, as was everyone. However the trouble came just before the morning invocation. The twin grooms caught sight of the garments they were meant to wear and went on a rampage. Apparently, the Nsoro hold orange as a holy sign and blue as the source of nightmares and inauspicious tidings. Now the grooms’ family demands that the entire p...Trnone door

    When We See Him

He’s not like all the others, he’s different. That’s what my mother told me. But she said that about the others too.The day I met him he walked into the kitchen as I ate my breakfast, his boots heavy on the vinyl floor. He filled up the doorway, blotted out the sun.“Connor, this is Shane,” she said.I looked up at him, saw the shaved head and tattoos circling his neck in a dark ring, like something strangling him.He came into the kitchen and put his hand toward me, like I was a man instead of only twelve. I could see the muscles standing up in his arms."Hi, Connor," he said. They all pretend to...Trnone door
