The Suitsmith pulls the drawstrings tight around the face opening of Taepar Drappo’s coveralls, completing its airtight seal over his body. Taepar’s pulse quickens, and he sucks in a breath, as the silicone respirator housing lowers over his face. The clear plastic face-shield refracts the flickering light from the exposed bulb in the dressing atrium, casting an axis of illusory rainbows around the room. His shallow breath echoes in his ears and fogs the interior of the mask, as the Suitsmith tugs the straps tight around his head. The broad man at his left he knows only as Jubba. My Dear Doctor Mortem

“in vita et in mortem… in life as in death”My Dear Doctor Mortem, I am writing to you on behalf of one of my most difficult cases. I thought perhaps you could help me. Yes, I realize this is highly irregular, given the nature of our inpidual practices, but I find myself at a loss.My patient is one Leanna Richards, and before you start, I assure you that she is much too young to have earned a file in your cabinet just yet. Ridges and trees blurred together in the mist, the peaks seeming to witness my passing, having ...Uiuone door

    How Soon is Now?

Tying up my whwww.onedoor.ccite shoelaces, I pushed the house door open. It was Friday, my first rest day in two weeks. I finally finished my Computer coding project. It was something I’ve procrastinated endlessly for so many months. I had to put my head down the other week and plow ahead non-stop. I submitted it at 6AM earlier. The professor had set the deadline at 8AM today. I was behind for 3 months on the project but ahead of submission by 2 hours today. There’s some kind of irony in there somewhere. I didn’t feel the least bit sleepy. Maybe it’s the delicious thrill of finally having my time to spend a...Uiuone door
