Suggested by, ‘101 Zen Koans,’ by Secret of Zen. Riku’s young wife, Yuuna, became ill. The doctor’s tried everything but told Riku to prepare, her death was nigh. Riku loved Yuuna deeply. The Journey

It seemed like an eternity ago, as the sunset over the marshland darkness stealthy descended, tightening its grip upon the land as the creatures of the deep along with the other demons of darkness stirred crawling from their cavernous dens in hunt of unsuspecting prey. The night’s air grew cold and damp as the moon slowly shed its silver rays over the land breaking the darkness only on the higher levels while the brumes gathered swirling like serpents sneaking into the voids and hollows between the rocks and bracken. The news had come to us from our friends, it was time to act, all arrangements...ECrone door

Grevan looked down towards the snowy earth. He...ECrone door

    The Reaper's Ball

Awake.I blink twice. That's all it takes for me to realize I am lying on my back. Above me a night sky glitters with stars unlike any night sky I have ever seen. Hues of cobalt and lavender intertwine, as though placed by the gentle strokes of an artist's brush, while stars shimmer and blink, like jewels kissed fleetingly by the light. And I gaze up at this masterpiece through thin branches, speckled with leaves that shake as the boughs sway to and fro.For a moment, I don't move. But then, I hear the music. It drifts through the dark on a gentle breeze that raises goosebumps along my arms. This...ECrone door
