HOW TIME FLIES!Alice ambled along the pathway through the scrub. As she walked, she was reading a biography of Lewis Carroll’s life. Consequently, she diwww.onedoor.ccdn’t realise there was a hole in the path until she suddenly dropped through it.As she landed she stumbled, dropping her book. Lies Worth Telling

Growing up on the farm, I loved the summers best of all. Morning sun bathed the land in light. The goats were unruly, always out of line. I was young, young enough not to have many chores. So, I played in the grass and ran through the hills. It was heaven if it were true. How was my childhood, you ask? You really want to know? For there, in those blooming meadows, play their children. For if you take a carriage up th...XoAone door

The Nature of Being a Necromancer

There were three Laws of Nature. One: Don’t change the natural order of things. Two: Don’t expect the universe to play fair. And Three: Never, ever try to cheat Death. A necromancer’s job was to violate all three rules (and get paid for it). Ashby wiped their forehead of sweat and leaned on the shovel, taking a deep breath as their stomach churned. They hadn't eaten before this but now it was coming back to haunt them. Digging up the grave of the deceased was the worst part of being a necromancer. One might think it was watching organs regrow or hearing the voices of the dead every time they sle...XoAone door
