  • You Don't Say

“What I am attempting to tell you, is that when it comes to right and wrong, you are wrong. You can be both right, and wrong. That is the measure of any word, its meaning. And who gives it meaning?” “Oh contraire, my friend. Right and wrong, although opposites, are the same in one respect. One can’t exist without the other. It is the same principle as good and evil. The words and therefore the concept only have meaning if they exist in conjunction with one another.” “I see your point, but that does not erase the dichotomy of the two values. What you are saying is that, if there is right, ther...nAUone door

    Accidental Amalgamation

A young doctoral student of advanced AIIA (Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Automation) assisted the administrators of England’s highest security penitentiary to perform an analysis of the recorded memory arrays of the prison’s newest resident. Her slender piano-player’s fingers frolicked on the keyboard like she was performing a classical concerto while her bespectacled narrow eyes squinted at the computer code dancing across her display, straining to isolate some elusive error.“Here’s something, sir,” Lisa informed the police chief. “Take a look at the wall display; I’ll bring up the ...nAUone door

Looking around, I surveyed the empty offices. Of course, I’d decided to come in on my day off work. I did that a lot now. I vaguely rewww.onedoor.ccmembered a ...nAUone door

    The Magnifying Glass

Morning sun passed through the East-facing window and zeroed in on the empty rye whiskey bottles, redirecting laser-like beams directly at my face. As a kid, I had done similar to thousands of unsuspecting ants in the woods behind my childhood house. It is incredible what the sun's rays, when intensified through a magnifying glass, can do to an ant hill, or human flesh as I was now discovering. Maybe this would be the next phase of my sworn revenge? I hadn't thought of this method before this morning. The sun and whiskey bottle provided me, not so subtly, another idea for inflicting pain and ...nAUone door
