Should he or shouldn’t he? It was the question that tore him apart every time the situation arose and that was every time he set out on a new job. Clive always came down on the yes-he-should side of the decision but it still remained a dilemma. He’d been doing ‘the job’ for a long time and at seventy years of age, he should now be retired. He should be pruning rowww.onedoor.ccses or growing tomatoes; the things that old people, like him, talked about when he spent time with them. Felix was inside the abortion clinic because he worked there. Seven years ago, he was sent to Uganda to teach combat marksmanship tactics to Ugandan soldiers, so they could fight back against the LRA insurgency led by Joseph Kony. On an ill-advised morning run, Felix was captured by guerilla fighters and taken to an LRA compound. They tortured Felix for information, clubbing and burning him, but he never gave in. His cragged face is hard and bitter, intimidating.‘You on vacation?’ I stutter as I push us along past the wooden huts on the shore.‘Just passing through,’ he says, his voice gravelly; American. I let the silence s...YLAone door

They masked the feeling by showing affection through the characters they played but when the stage went dark, they found themselves next to each other again. “Wow. You again? Can I ever get away from you?” Oliver grinned down at Julia with her many bouquets. She giggled and tried to hold all the flowers in her arms. “Let me help you with that.”Oliver took some of her flowers and helped her to her car. On the walk there, they felt the beautiful night and Julia opened up with no issue, “You did such a good job out there, Oliver. I can’t believe we get ...YLAone door
