Hubert was a very bright boy, charming, gifted and ugly. It’s really hard to say that someone is ugly. You can call them “unattractive,” “a little rough,” “kind of plain,” any number ofwww.onedoor.cc euphemisms; but, Hubert was ugly. The other kids called him “Hubie” and laughed at him whenever he came around, but they liked him. They laughed at him and he took it in stride. He did nothing to encourage it and he just let it roll off his back. Kids started feeling guilty. The girls all stood up for him and, eventually, only the most insecure boys still laughed at him and said mean things.By the time he was ...qh4one door

    Coined Terms

[TW: War]Real life in a besieged city has never sounded like a fun idea for me. Life in a besieged city within a video game, however, was something I could sit down and enjoy for hours on end. This isn't a video game, though. But it is real, and much like the character in the video game, I'm all alone. My father was killed by a missile while out scavenging for food last year, and my mom.. well, she passed away when I was four years old, way before America collapsed after entering its second civil war. My good friend Tania informed us of yet another trip to visit her parents on the Italian Riviera. Rolling my eyes, at the injustice of being born to South African parents with no second home in Italy, or anywhere else, I poured another glass of wine. Not Chianti sadly, but good old SA Pinotage. Wouldn’t...qh4one door

    Thomas The Terrible

Deep in the Olympic Mountains nestled in the corner of Washington state, on the lush and beautiful Olympic Peninsula there once lived a dragon. He isn’t like other dragons, as most of his species have died off or been captured at this point in history. He is a lonely dragon, going by the rather unfitting given name of “Thomas The Terrible.” He didn’t grow up wanting to be terrible in fact; quite the opposite. He was raised by two loving parents, whose names having been translated through endless and beautiful tangles of legends and stories have been completely misrepresented, and due to my bel...qh4one door
