    “Are you coming tonight?” A bright smile illuminated his face as those three jumping dots on his phone transitioned into a plain “Yes :)”. He loved reading this word.     At one point, the rising sun had meant something. The thin amber blade slicing out of a dark horizon signalled the dawn of a new day. A definitive end to yesterday. An end to a night plagued by danger and mystery. A new beginning. Once, it had meant those things.
