Content warning: violencetink tink tink  The sound of rain hitting the roof of the car brings me back to reality. The sun is rising in hues of orange, yellow, and a pinkish red. My right hand shakes uncontrollably. It was just a party, just a goddamn party. I start playing with my hoodie strings for a distraction. I hear a song quietly playing on the radio. I think it's by Polo G, maybe Juice Wrld, idk, all rap sounds the same to me. The lyrics sound muffled to me since I'm so lost in my mind but as I hear the hook it becomes clearer to me. I remember hearing it at the party, “I don’t' need no...gLCone door

    Eda

I’m like the teacher from the Peanuts comics; of all the important, life-enticing things a person could say, Charlie Brown won’t listen to me. It always seemed to be the same with me and Eda. Eda and I. I don’t care much for the proper grammar. Arranging my words like a psychiatrist on syntax drugs wouldn’t get her to listen to me, anyway.“Hey! Don't get off the boat! That Friday night, the restaurant was unexpectedly busy with its usual customers and two large group bookings. Though he was exhausted, Jack stayed back. He needed the extra money. When finally customers left, and Jack finished his job for the night and left his workplace, Oregano’s restaurant, one of the top five Italian restaurants ...gLCone door

    A Cold Party

“Ah, Donna… welcome… please, come in.” The older woman’s voice was warm, but her face wwww.onedoor.ccas sharp and curt, and her blue eyes held more chill than the piles of snow outside her massive home. She stepped away from her mahogany double doors and allowed Donna, a large woman with a hostile face, to walk in. “How was your drive?” “Fine,” said Donna shortly, taking off her shoes and speeding past the old woman. She walked down a spacious hallway filled with pictures, recognizing her own smiling face in a few of them. Her feet carried her mechanically to a large parlour, where a group of well dressed ...gLCone door
