Like everyone else in the town, he’d heard abowww.onedoor.ccut the events with the rowing boat. He just couldn’t remember them, and one year later the details remained submerged in his tortured mind.God knows he’d tried, but his memories of that day were as elusive as the whispers of a story he couldn’t quite hear. He’d given up trying to drag them to the surface - along with the recollections of his life before. On this ordinary autumn day, he awoke with the usual birdsong at the usual time. He had his first coffee of the day on the deck, just like every other morning, and then distracted himself by watchin...qt9one door

    School’s Out

Finally, the day had arrived. After forty years of bored students, irrational parents, inept administrators and clueless coworkers, it was my last day in this godforsaken classroom. When I became a teacher all those years ago, it wasn’t to have the summers off as some idiot will say, thinking they’re so clever. Yeah, haha.In truth, my motivation was a love of history. My Hill

It was surprise. My parents thinking back on that time, were struggling financially. My father’s construction job left holes in our stability; weather and economic circumstances drove the need for his ingenuity. My mother worked fashioning furs taken from the captive exploitation of animals kept for their resource, regardless of their compliance. The bicycle had been a dream I kept under my bed, as to let it out could only mean disappointment. That day changed my pessimistic realities of reality, into the supposition that impossibility is as much a state of mind, as never. Birthdays were rele...qt9one door
