“Will!”  The scream pulls me from my deep slumber. I sit up, and I’m breathing heavy. The big white room is empty. It’s just me and my metal framed bed again.  Every time I’m getting near my time of stasis, her voice calls stronger in my mind.  Who is she? I have yet to find the answer to that question. It would probably bother me more, if I remembered anything about myself.  The Pod, as our people call it, is a time for finding clarity, cleansing the impurities and a time for refortification. What they think they are refortifying, I have yet to discover. The clarity part is a joke, as my mi...Nr9one door

    Clean Chemical Fruity

The smell of her hair, that clean chemical fruity smell like dried laundry, dryer sheets, bad for the environment, the way she would use dryer sheets but wouldn’t eat red meat, "it takes two and a half pounds of grain to produce one pound of beef," but she would still drink two percent milk if the store was out of oat milk or if she didn’t feel like going to the grocery store, corner deli, bodega, the way the men behind the counter would ogle her, the way I didn’t worry about it because she was mine, mine, mine, mine“Mind if I sit here?” Callie asks Fred. Sparky’s Farewell

‘Get me outta here.’ “Mark! I’m so glad you made it.” Dora gave him a hug while back-kicking the door. Surprised us all.” She masked a smile with her signature frown and gave him an affectionate punch on the arm. “Come on. Have a drink. There are people here, you need to see.” Mark thought, ‘They say funerals are for the living. Who are receptions for? At least no one talks awww.onedoor.cct funerals.’ He looked for familiar faces. Not many. Dora led him into the living room where h...Nr9one door

What's going on? Thought Softy Bear as he was passed from the large hands he knew to the much smaller hands he was unfamiliar with, I don't know if I like this. “Thank you, dad.” Said the hands with a tone of doubt as if they were unsure on how to react. “Don’t look so disappointed, son.’ Said the larger hands, ‘Softy will take great care of you. I’ve had him for years. Your great-grandma gave him to me before she passed away when I was about your age and now, I’m happy to give him to you. He’s a very special bear.” Softy had fond memories of being held by the larger hands. Back when they wer...Nr9one door
