      Nobody really knew much about Jacobson. Most people even wondered if that was his real name. And that’s where the rumors started. You had a camp who thought Jacobson was the name they gave him on Ellis Island. The man was allegedly Sicilian and there weren’t many Jacobsons living in Sicily as far as I knew. I knew that couldn’t be the case because no one’s names were ever changed at Ellis Island. It’s one of those things people kept saying and that made it true after it was said for long enough.     Looking Outside

    Night time fell to the ground like a blanket. The sounds of thewww.onedoor.cc previous day came to a screeching halt. I awaken from my slumber and meander into the kitchen. I flip on the light over the range. I turn around slightly and notice the soft light highlighting the silhouettes of the nearby tree branches, grazing the window. I browse for an early morning treat. Not wanting to cook anything at the precise moment, I debate on either a hot beverage or a snack bar. I fill up the coffee pot with water, measure the appropriate amount, and press the start button.     The library life

    LOVE THE LIBRARY LIFEI inherited my library love from my mother. She loved books. She learned to read at an early age. Her mother, a Yiddish speaker from someplace in Poland, learned English too at the Seward Park branch library on the lower east side opened in 1909、  My mother always had books in her house. My mother Florence used to say when her last days were upon her, she wanted to spend them in a library. She also said that about Barnes and Noble. Or maybe Macy’s.
