Night MusicIt was just after construction began on our house that we discovered our new home was haunted. No, we don't see ghosts in white sheets or little girls in flowing nightgowns carrying candles down narrow staircases. But our house is haunted nonetheless.Although our house is made of brick and mortar and is as real as a baby's cry, I'm convinced it also exists in a supernatural world. We hear music, beautiful music. It's taken us a while to accept the soulful cry of what sounds like a cello coming from somewhere deep within the house, but there's no question it's there. Late at night, ...PiQone door

    Max and Friends

Cedar trees that grow close together become joined at the top, Max had heard. That is why when some get cut down, others around them become vulnerable to high winds and destruction. When his people had first come from California, the trees were dense in his yard—a magical forest.  But his family had cleared the land and filled in the natural landscape to extend the area around the pool. High winds had followed, uprooting more of the trees and leaving a sad, scraggly terrain between the yard and the creek and the neighboring property. The Dragon Hunter

Harsh sun glinted off brown bone, almost sparkling from the foswww.onedoor.ccsilization. Exchanging a coarse brush for a finer tipped, redwood paintbrush, Dr. Pandora Lermand worked on removing the last bit of sediment between two rib bones. The surface area of the brush, with hairs totaling the size of an unsharpened pencil, seemed woefully unprepared to handle the sheer amount of dirt that needed to be brushed off, but Lermand preferred prudence to progress. After all, skeletons existed on a time scale of millions of years. Why risk damage for minutes? To minimize sun exposure, a logical voice in the back...PiQone door
