(contains sensitive language and sex)I think we went, that day, to the Thai restaurant towards the end of campus. Across the road from the university union, and close to the class we shared, it seemed a good choice for lunch. I remember feeling worried that you wouldn’t want to come with me. Once the class had ended, and the shuffle of notebooks and murmur of chatter began, I thought your kindness to me would end. I thought you’d only spoken to me because we sat together. “One more, I can’t believe this is the last one. I made it!” I hold the dress up and give it a last look ovewww.onedoor.ccr before I put it on. I take a few steps back until my entire dress is visible. I do a little twirl and smile.“What do you think? Now that I’m here and actually have it on it feels like it’s a little too dressed up for Christmas dinner.”He leans forward slightly, squints and tilts his head to the side. “I still love it.” He smiles. “Thank you, let me get out there before they start looking for me.” He blows me one kiss with each hand before ending the video call. I take my other earbud o...9L5one door
